One of the best parts about being an author is that I get to visit a lot of schools. I love meeting kids from all over the country and talking about the characters I’ve created and what it’s like to be an author. If you think your school might be interested in having me, here’s some important information that your librarian or principal might need.
Grades: 1 – 6
Length of presentation: 40 to 60 minutes depending on your school’s schedule and the age group of the audience.
Audience Size: Laurie’s presentations can be tailored to accommodate small, medium-sized or large groups, including classrooms of 25-40 students, groups of several grades/several hundred children, and entire schools with groups as large as 900.
Schedule: Laurie is happy to do up to 3 presentations in a day plus lunch with students.
