Hi Everybody,

I just got back from Texas and had the best school visits at Jennie Reed and College Park Elementary in LaPorte and the Fay School in Houston.  All of the students were so great and I had so much fun.  Thanks to all of you (and your wonderful librarians) for making my visits so special!

Thanks too to everyone who has written in lately.  Hope, Briana, Jasmine, Cody, Shaneea, Victoria, Alexis, Michelle, Savanna, Natalie, Lorah, Presleigh, Julie, Addie, Rayanna, Myai and Julianne:  Thanks so much for all of your letters and questions.  Here are some answers:

Presleigh asked if my kids will take an interest in writing books.  The answer to that is that I don’t know.  They like to write, so maybe!  They’ve helped me a lot with the Mallory books.

Victoria asked where I got the name Mallory.  It is kind of a long story, but the short answer is that I met someone named Mallory and I just knew it was the perfect name.
