Hi Everybody!

I hope you are all getting ready for one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving!  I even wrote a book about it called Thanksgiving Rules.  I hope you will all read it.

Thanks to all of you for the great mail lately.  Special thanks to Kelli, Shay, Kayla, Victoria, Christal, Erica, Jacquelyn, Caitlyn, Avery, Kendall, Evaline, Saleema, Alvaro, Kylie, Laura and Mallory.  You are all amazing fans!

Here are answers to some of your questions:

Victoria asked where I get my inspiration for the Mallory books.  I get it from three places:  I like to write about a lot of the things that I see happening to my kids and other kids.  I like to write about a lot ot the things that happened to me when I was Mallory’s age.  And of course, I love to make things up.  Using your imagination is one of the most fun things about being an author.

Christal asked how long it takes to write a Mallory book.  The answer to that is it takes me about 4 months to write it and another few months to edit it and for the illustrator to do the illustrations.

Caitlyn asked what my favorite color is.  I don’t think any of you will be surprised to hear that it is purple.  Same as Mallory! 

Kylie asked what the next book is after Happy New Year, Mallory!  The next book is Mallory Goes Green.  I know that is something lots of you are doing in your own lives.  I hope you’ll have fun reading about Mallory as she goes green.
