Hi Everybody!

I hope the school year is off to a great start for all of you and that you are all doing lots of reading!  Some of you have written lately with some great questions.  Here are some answers:

Brooke asked where I do my writing?  The answer is that I do the actual typing at my desk, but I do the thinking about what I’m going to be typing everywhere I go.  I think about Mallory while I’m walking my dog, while I’m grocery shopping, and while I’m cooking.  I love thinking about Mallory and all the things she and her friends and family are going to be doing in the books.

Laura asked if I can make books using the same characters but for a higher reading level.  The answer to that is maybe.  I will definitely think about it.  If any of you are interested in reading about Mallory as she gets older, just let me know.

Hi Everybody!

I hope you are all off to a great start to a new school year!

I also hope you’re saving some time to have some fun.  For those of you who live in Minneapolis, there is going to be lots of fun this weekend at the Hyland Lake Park Reserve.  Target is having a BIG book festival with lots of authors, entertainers, and fun things to do.

I will be there from 2:45 to 3:30 reading and signing books.  I hope you’ll all come.
