You are the best writers on the planet! To Preet, Hanna, Andie, Mallory, Molly, Noelle, Kyjah, Sophia,Rachel, and Saleema and all the others: Thanks for all the fantastic mail. I’m so glad that so many of you like reading about Mallory. I know you all have lots of questions so let’s see if I can answer some of them.
Hannah asked if I made up the recipe for bannana boats in Campfire Mallory. I wish I had. I love them! But I learned about Bannana Boats at the summer camp that I went to, Camp Birch Trail. They were my favorite campfire treat. I’m so glad you like them too.
Andie and Molly asked if I am writing more books and the answer is yes! Two Mallory books are coming out this year. Red, White, and True Blue Mallory and Happy New Year, Mallory! I hope you will read them both.
Mallory asked if Mallory (in the book) gets glasses or a cast? It’s a possibility on both. Keep reading! I will tell you that something along those lines happens to Mallory in Happy New Year, Mallory!
Noelle wanted to know what inpired me to write about Mallory and all of her problems. I write about a lot of things that happened to me when I was Mallory’s age. I also write about things I see happening to kids today. And of course, I like to make stuff up too!
Sophia wanted to know the title of the next book which is Happy New Year, Mallory!
Rachel wrote to tell me that she likes the idea of reading about an older Mallory. Rachel, thanks so much for letting me know!

Hi Laurie,
I am new to your books. I am 8 years old from Maryland.
The first book I read was “Back to school”.
And guess what I am hooked on Mallory.
I went straight to my local library and got more books on Mallory.
I find her really funny, creative and how she always gets into trouble and find her way out too.
I want to read about her interactions with her brother and his dog.

My name is Vara and I am from Maryland. I recently read your book called Mallory vs Max. That book is so funny but Max needs to have a bigger pesonalite so he will be more funny and more readers will read your books. but I love all your books including Mallory vs Max, Back to School,Mallory,red,white,and blue Mallory. I also think that you are so cool. I have 2 favorite authors you and Polly Horvath which book I also recently read was called When the circus came to town. It was also funny it was about a girl named Ivy whose needs to stay in bed because she has a really bad sickness which I can’t prononce. I am also hooked on Mallory books like my sister Lara just told you. I love your books and many oters like chapter books with the long chapters

I am Lara. I have read a few of the books that you have written such as ” Mallory vs Max” or ”Mallory on the move” and you know your books about Mallory are so,so,so hilarious!!! after I read BAck-TO-SCHOOL- mallory and then dicovered that I liked it.
I never read Mallory before my sister Varanika [ Know as Vara] bought it at Borders book store here in Waldrof and that is when Vara got Back- to-school-Mallory.It is funny because when Mallory got the purple glitter nailpolish that her best,best,best friend Mary Ann gave her the day before Mallory had to move to Fern Falls and to Wish pond RD and that is where she meets Joey and his mean old 10 years old WINNE that I do not like at all in mallory on the move that I think she is another MAX

Where did you get the name Mallory from? When is Happy New Year Mallory coming out? Also when is Mallory and Mary Ann coming out? I really can’t wait to read it becuase I think it’s going to talk about Mallory’s old house also.
