To Alison

Monday, April 27th, 2009

This is a special letter to Alison who got my address off the website and wrote me the nicest letter.  I didn’t have your return address so I wanted to put a little note on the blog.  I hope you see it.

Thanks so much for writing!  I’m so glad you still like the Mallory books and I hope you’ll read them all.  Unfortunately, they don’t come in a boxed set.  Maybe some day.

Thanks again for writing and keep reading!

Hi Everybody!

Thanks to all of you for writing.  Ashley, Claire, Micca, Vijitha, Britney, Marni, Lara and Vara:  Thanks for all of your great questions and comments.

One thing lots of you have asked me is about the order of the Mallory books. Here’s a list of all the books that are out and it is in order:

Mallory on the Move

Back to School, Mallory

Mallory vs. Max

Happy Birthday, Mallory!

In Business with Mallory

Heart to Heart with Mallory

Mallory on Board

Honestly, Mallory!

Campfire Mallory

Step Fourth, Mallory!

Red, White, and True Blue Mallory

I hope that helps and I hope you will read all of the books.  I’d love to know which one is your favorite!

Talk to you soon!

To the best writers on the planet!

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Hi Everybody,

You are the best writers on the planet!  To Preet, Hanna, Andie, Mallory, Molly, Noelle, Kyjah, Sophia,Rachel, and Saleema and all the others: Thanks for all the fantastic mail.  I’m so glad that so many of you like reading about Mallory.  I know you all have lots of questions so let’s see if I can answer some of them.

Hannah asked if I made up the recipe for bannana boats in Campfire Mallory.  I wish I had.  I love them!  But I learned about Bannana Boats at the summer camp that I went to, Camp Birch Trail.  They were my favorite campfire treat.  I’m so glad you like them too.

Andie and Molly asked if I am writing more books and the answer is yes! Two Mallory books are coming out this year.  Red, White, and True Blue Mallory and Happy New Year, Mallory!    I hope you will read them both.

Mallory asked if Mallory (in the book) gets glasses or a cast?  It’s a possibility on both.  Keep reading!  I will tell you that something along those lines happens to Mallory in Happy New Year, Mallory!

Noelle wanted to know what inpired me to write about Mallory and all of her problems.   I write about a lot of things that happened to me when I was Mallory’s age.  I also write about things I see happening to kids today.  And of course, I like to make stuff up too!

Sophia wanted to know the title of the next book which is Happy New Year, Mallory!

Rachel wrote to tell me that she likes the idea of reading about an older Mallory.  Rachel, thanks so much for letting me know!

I hope that answers some of your questions.

Keep reading and writing!

Talk to you soon!
