Hi Everybody!

Thanks to all of you who keep writing.  So many of you ask so many good questions. To Molly, Han, Ashley, Hannah, Jonalene, Saleema, and Eva:  I’m so glad you all like Mallory so much.  Here are some answers to some of your questions.

Molly asked where I got the name Molly in Campfire Mallory.  Molly was my great grandmother’s name and I have always loved it.

Ashley asked if I ever want to be one of my characters.  The answer to that is sometimes I’d like to be Mallory, sometimes I’d like to be Mary Ann, and sometimes I would like to be Winnie.  It just depends on the day.

Saleema asked what Mallory wants to be when she grows up.  That is a great question, but unfortunately I don’t know the answer.  Anyone have any ideas?

Eva asked if I am planning to write more books about more characters and the answer to that is yes, definitely!

Hi Everybody,

So many of you have been writing in lately and asking so many good questions.  I thought I would take a moment to answer just a few.

Question:  Are you ever going to write a series about Winnie?

 Answer:  I am definitely thinking about it.  Let me know if that is something you would like to read.

Question:  Does Joey have a crush on Mallory?

Answer:  Not yet, but who knows how he will feel in the future?!?

Question:  Will there ever be a Mallory movie?

 Answer:  How cool would that be!?!  I hope so!

Question:  Can you visit my school?

Answer:  I would love to.  I visit a lot of schools.  If you think your school would be interested, tell your librarian.  All of the information that she needs to contact me is on the Mallory website.

Hi Everybody!

Thanks to all of you who have written in lately.  To Lexie, Anindita, Amanda, Bari, Meitav, Marni, Kyjah, Parmeda, Maria, Victoria, Molly and Maame:  Thanks for all the great comments and questions!  

Some of you asked what the newest book is that is out.  It is called Red, White, and True Blue Mallory and it is about Mallory’s class trip to Washington, D.C. Washington, D.C. is a super cool place and I hope you will all read the book.

Some of you asked if I am working on a new book and the answer to that is yes!  I am working on a book called Mallory and Mary Ann.  It is all about Mallory and her best friend.  Sometimes even the best of friends have trouble getting along.

Some of you asked if I will write a series about Winnie.  The answer to that is that I am thinking about.  If you think it is a good idea, let me know.

Last but not least, some of you told me that you’d like to grow up and become a writer and asked if I have any advice on that topic, and of course, I do!  The best thing you can do if you want to be a good writer is to be a good reader.   I read all of the time.  Of course, working on your creative writing skills helps too!
