Two great schools! One great city!

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Hi Everybody!

One of my favorite things to do as an author is visit schools around the country and next week, I’m going to two schools!

I will be speaking at Highlands School and Crestline Elementary in Birmingham, Alabama.  Two great schools!  One great city!  I can’t wait to meet all of the students and teachers.

If you think your school might be interested in a visit, your librarian can find all of the information on my website:

Authors go to school too!

Hi Everybody!

Do you ever feel like all kids do is go to school?  (I can remember feeling that when I was your age.)  Well guess what . . . other people go to school too, and some of those other people are authors.  I just came back from Author School.  (It’s not really called that, but that’s pretty much what it is.)

I went to a conference with loads of other children’s book authors and illustrators.   I spent three days learning and studying all sorts of things related to writing books for kids.  I do it every year and I love it.  It’s fun to learn, especially when you’re interested in the subject.

That’s it for today.   I hope school is going great for all of you!

It’s right around the corner . . .

Hi Everybody!

If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, I’ll tell you . . . Valentine’s Day!  It’s right around the corner and it’s one of my favorite holidays.  I hope you love all of the hearts and cards and yummy goodies that go along with it just as much as I do.

Celebrating Valentine’s Day isn’t the only thing I like to do, I also like writing about it.  If you think you’d like reading about Valentine’s Day, I’ve written two books that you might enjoy.  Heart to Heart with Mallory and Love, Ruby Valentine.

I hope you’ll check them out and I hope you have a great holiday!

Happy (early) Valentine’s Day!
