Hi Everybody!
I hope you had a great week! I did because I got to visit two great schools. As part of the Miami Book Fair, I visited Village Green Elementary and Wesley Matthews Elementary. I met so many great kids plus their wonderful teachers and media specialists. We talked about books and writing (two of my favorite subjects) and they asked lots of fantastic questions. One of the best parts of the day for me was seeing the beautiful signs both schools made to welcome me and reading all of the cards and letters from the students. To all of you at both schools, here’s a big THANK YOU! I hope you had as much fun as I did.
And as they say . . . a picture is worth a thousand words, so here goes!
That’s it for now.
Talk to you soon!

Hi Ashtyn,
Thanks for writing! I’m so glad you LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mallory books! To answer your question, yes, a lot of the things that happen to Mallory are things that happened to me when I was her age. Some of the things that happen to her are things that have happened to my kids. (But I have to be careful, they don’t always like when I write about them.)
