Schools I visited

Hi Everybody!

I love visiting schools and meeting kids from all over the country, and last week, I visited two fantastic schools!  I was at The Nightingale Bamford School in New York City and Maugham Elementary in Tenafly, NJ.

At The Nightingale School, I spoke at a school assembly to kindergartners through fourth graders.  I met the 2nd and 3rd graders in their classrooms, and I had lunch with a group of 4th graders.  Everyone asked great questions and it was a lot of fun being there.  Nightingale Bamford is a wonderful school, and for those of you who are not from New York City, here’s something very cool about it:  their playground is on the roof!

The school librarian, Lois Strell, gave me a great tour and was a great host all day. Here’s a picture of the two of us together.

At Maugham Elementary, I spoke to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders in their big and beautiful media center.   Everyone asked lots of really good questions and so many kids had read lots of the Mallory books.  It was easy to see that books are a big deal at Maugham Elementary.  I was also treated to a delicious lunch in the library.  What fun!

The librarian at Maugham, Linda Reiss, knows so much about books and kids.  Here’s a picture of the two of us together.

Many thanks to all my friends at Nightingale Bamford and Maugham  Elementary for making both visits so fantastic!

If you’d like information about the possibility of me visiting your school, just ask your teacher or librarian to go on the Mallory website.   It’s all there!

Talk to you soon!
